Much bigger than the older cam, wider LSA, higher lift, more duration all for more power everywhere!

Gonna be a bit more choppy than the old setup, but couldn't pass up the opportunity as I was already in the engine and was two bolts away from doing a swap anyhow.

This is for a 3.8 V6 Firebird, for those wondering...

You know what else Buick v6s love? Forced induction. Not enough modded 3.8l F bodies if you ask me.

I know. 68mm turbo waiting to go have fun on the other block I'm building.

Broke a timing chain tensioner on the current engine in the car so that's why it's getting a more aggressive cam. It's 10:1 compression ratio and stock pistons so I'm not adding boost to that dangerous combo.

Boost block will have forged pistons, and a lot of fun work done to it. Goal is 400whp daily, 600whp at full tilt and built to handle 1000whp. Turbo is being the limiting factor.

Cam is spec'd to do 250 to the tires on stock engine. Mine has basic ported heads/intake and longtube headers.

I dynod 168whp stock, 196 with an Intense S1X cam and the mods above but on an unlocked and loose 3800rpm stall. So estimate 220whp with a manual (swapped in a T-56 from a GTO).

Who knows what I can get out of this cam with the mods done to the car. 250+ hopefully.

I love the sound of a cammed LSx.

Gear change isn't in the plans at all since I plan on going turbo in the not too distant future.

I'm maybe 1 of 3 online that I know of in the States. I bought the adapter from Australia. There's a bigger V6 following over there.

I bet they do. They have stuff like this. 3.8 SC pointed in the right direction.
